Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, XBox Demo
Take your seats and listen up. Today’s lesson is just a quick one.
I was a big fan of the first SW:TFU game and have been looking forward to the new one for some time. When I saw the demo was available on XBox Live yesterday, I have to admit, I got pretty damned excited.
I can say this pretty simply after playing through the short demo: this game is going to be bad ass. Seriously bad ass.
There isn’t a ton I can say about the actual game. I’m not a big fan of revealing spoilers and the demo is also pretty short. You can probably finish it in 10-15 minutes. It’s a kickass 15 minutes though.
The basic premise: you start by learning how exactly you survived the first game. Everyone’s favorite Sith gives a pretty good explanation. You then get put through the paces of some training exercises where you start having visions of the past, and that’s where things go horribly wrong. You make a break for it and that’s where the demo kicks in. Long story short, you are trying to get out, Stormtroopers are trying to stop you, violence ensues. Way cool Sith force violence. That alone makes the demo worth checking out.
I think you’ll agree, the demo will make you want to get the full thing on the 26th.
Class dismissed.

Extra Credit…
Can’t let you lovely folks leave out of the classroom giving you that sweet extra credit…
GEEK MODE… ON
Force Unleashed II has been in development for a while. I can honestly say this demo made it worth the wait.
The Professor clearly gave you the fundamentals, and seeing how we’re not giving away too many details I’ll try to keep it hush. What I can tell you is that after playing this demo, I learned that Starkiller loves to start his day off placing both feet on the ground and both light sabers up the middle of some Stormtrooper that rubbed him the wrong way, and this sunny disposition makes for excellent game-play.
Taking a break from the gameplay for a minute to observe the nuts and bolts of the game, LucasArts definitely took it a step further by simplifying the menus in this sequel. The Force Unleashed II now makes changing and upgrading in the game a lot easier to do. So, if I had to find something wrong with the last game, I would definitely say the menus were a big problem (It was a bit like navigating a spaceship… oh yeah! that was the theme wasn’t it? FAIL!)
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II will definitely be a crowd pleaser on it’s release date at the end of the month. So heed the Profs. scholarly advice on this one folks.
