Movie Review: RED
Hey all!
I’m back from a glorious weekend of movie watching, and wish to share my profound knowledge with you…
Red… Was freakin’ awesome!
If you’re looking for a quality action film, then you will get so much more than expected with RED.
Frank Moses (played by Bruce Willis) is a retired CIA agent attempting to live a regular life until the agency classifies him RED (Retired and Extremely Dangerous) charging their top agent, William Cooper (played by Karl Urban), with the responsibility of bringing Moses in. The chase begins and Frank must assemble his old team to help him uncover the CIA conspiracy plot against him. Bruce Willis, Mary-Louise Parker, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, and Helen Mirren star in this incredible action-comedy.
The cast in and of themselves make this movie so much fun. I mean, seriously, these actors have been in the game and know exactly what to do. Even if the script was rubbish, they would have executed the task brilliantly. That being said, I think the movie was excellent.
It takes a little while before things really kick off in the movie, but it’s worth the wait. The action in this movie is top-notch, with elegant gun play and brutal fight scenes. The action is only matched by the level of comedy, which John Malkovich carries out with excellent precision. I thoroughly enjoyed this film (even down to the soundtrack) and it was definitely a non-stop thrill ride worth the time and money.
GO SEE IT!
That is all.
