Harry Potter comes to Chestnut Hill

Hey folks! Just wanted to share a little moment I’ve had this weekend back in the Philly area. The Harry Potter Festival has been happening in Chestnut Hill for 5 years to celebrate the fantastic world that J.K. Rowling’s books have created. It’s two days of Harry Potter madness. The Friday it opens there’s a pub crawl, straw maze, costume contest, and movie showing. The next day, follows with a Quidditch match and block part that spans up Germantown Ave. in Chestnut Hill. It’s a great and FREE event that is fun for the whole family and most of all provides an environment for all of the Tri-State areas Pott-Heads to let loose and connect with other like-minded individuals. If you missed it this year, that’s ok, it’ll be back around next year around this time.

I’m surprised that most of the Harry Potter fans I know haven’t heard of this festival, but the reaction is still the same: there are extremely excited and more participants are added to the festivals goings-on. So I figured I’d put out this post to let everyone connected know that this event exists and happens every year. I’m sure that when the new films that take us back to this wonderful wizarding world are released, there will be more things added to the festival. It’s an ever-growing world and the festival works to unite fans in a celebration of positivity, and good old-fashioned, clean fun.

Here are some photos from the Quidditch Tournament that I was able to get for you. Enjoy the rest of your weekend folks!
