Metal Gear Solid the Movie Taking Shape
It’s not very often that movies transition well into video games. It’s even more rare that video games transition into good movies. However, if ever there was a game dying to get a shot at the big screen, it has to be Metal Gear. If you don’t know the story of the Metal Gear series (seriously?) I would recommend heading on over to Wikipedia and spending some time. It won’t be light reading, but you’ll get a much better idea of why this could potentially make an amazing movie. Check out some more details here.
Stephen Amell Cast as Casey Jones for TMNT 2!
What do you get when you trade a green hood and bow for a hockey mask and a bag of miscellaneous sports equipment to use as weapons? You get the Green Arrow turning into Casey Jones. DC TV show star Stephen Amell will be going from one vigilante to another as Casey Jones in the next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Casey Jones is your typical “average joe turned crime fighter” character who ends up in league with the turtles to try to save the city. You can check out the announcement here.
X-Men Apocalypse to talk to Ben Hardy
There has been a lot of talk recently about recasting an X-Men character that is fairly essential to the Apocalypse story line. The character of Angel, played previously Ben Foster, is supposedly being brought back for X-Men: Apocalypse and will reported be played by Ben Hardy this time around. It’s not a done deal just yet, but you can read about the rumor here.
Rumor Mill: Is this the Joker Leto Plans on Giving?
So while I’m not entirely sold on this one just yet, I can see where it could have some legs and could be true. Jared Leto has been recorded using what people believe will be his Joker voice at some recent concerts he and his band, Thirty Seconds to Mars. It’s pretty quick and could just be Leto goofing around, but it also could very well be how he is going to do things. Only time will tell. For now, draw your own conclusions by watching the video here.
