Geek News of the Day 03/27/2015
Happy Friday, all! Welcome to The Bosses’ Desk. Here’s a list of the good GNOD straight from the presses.
Don’t Call it a Comeback!
Last November, Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine brought us an emotional conclusion to it’s epic Naruto Manga. It was reluctantly that Naruto fans said goodbye to the yellowed hair ninja, but recent reports has revealed that this Monday (3/30/2015) the magazine will be announcing an upcoming miniseries Naruto Gaiden: Nanadaime Hokage to Akairo no Hanatsuzuki (Naruto Spinoff: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring Month). This spinoff will enter “a new generation…” There will also be work on a movie that will debut in August that will follow the story of Bolt.

Shootin’ Hoops with the Turtles
Looks like five NBA stars from the L.A. Clippers will be filming a short scene for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 tomorrow. Who knows what the scene is for. Could be a small aside during the film or the players could be doing some mo-cap for the Turtles in a small hoops scene. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 comes to theaters June 3, 2016.
DeAndre Jordan, Matt Barnes, J.J. Redick, Austin Rivers & Spencer Hawes will be filming a scene for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 tomorrow.

Enter the Twins…
Marvel has released a new featurette divulging a little more of what we should expect from the twins Pietro and Wanda Maximoff (Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch respectively) and it looks amazing. I’m already in for this film Marvel… SO LET ME AT IT ALREADY!
Southpaw Trailer is here!
Antoine Fuuqua (my favorite director) is back with his latest title starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Rachel McAdams, Forrest Whitaker, and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson it what looks to be a great underdog story. Gyllenhaal plays Billy Hope, an up and coming boxer rising through the ranks of success. With success comes fame, and with fame, then pride. Pride always comes before the fall. The question then that follows is can Billy make it back up from his fall? Southpaw hits theaters July 31, 2015.
